PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Afripanel delivered a new split housing unit for the South African Women’s Federation in Vereeniging. The facility provides practical accommodation for male and female persons in need, with the internal arrangement designed around shared living requirements while still providing dedicated facilities for the different user groups.

PURPOSE OF THE BUILDING

The project created a purpose-built housing environment that supports the organisation’s community-focused work and provides dedicated accommodation space for people in need.

BUILD DESIGN AND LAYOUT

The building uses a split accommodation layout for male and female occupants. Open-plan shared sleeping areas were incorporated together with built-in cupboards and dedicated bathroom facilities, providing a clear and practical shared-living arrangement.
