PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Afripanel delivered a purpose-built modular facility for the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) at Potchefstroom Hospital. The project follows the same core operational brief as the Far East Hospital facility, providing a dedicated blood-processing station from which SANBS can process and supply blood to the hospital.

PURPOSE OF THE BUILDING

The facility provides SANBS with a dedicated operational environment for blood-processing activities and the supply of blood to Potchefstroom Hospital, supporting an important function within the hospital’s healthcare services.

BUILD DESIGN AND LAYOUT

The modular building was configured around the operational requirements of the SANBS processing station, with practical internal working areas arranged within a purpose-built healthcare facility designed for its specific use.
