PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Afripanel delivered a purpose-built modular facility for the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) at Far East Hospital in Springs, Gauteng. The facility operates as a dedicated blood-processing station, providing SANBS with a practical on-site environment from which blood can be processed and supplied to the hospital.

PURPOSE OF THE BUILDING

The building supports the hospital’s blood-service requirements by providing SANBS with a dedicated operational base for processing activities and the supply of blood to Far East Hospital.

BUILD DESIGN AND LAYOUT

The modular facility was configured around the operational requirements of the SANBS processing station. The internal arrangement provides dedicated working areas within a compact, purpose-built healthcare environment suited to the facility’s specific function.
